Avalance President and General Manager to Step Down

Pierre Lacroix, President and General Manager of the Colorado Avalance is stepping down today after 12 years with the club. Sources in Denver said that an announcement will be made as soon as today. Under his helm the Colorado Avalance won two Stanley Cups in 1996 and 2001, after the former Quebec Nordics relocated to Denver in 1995.

Just found out that he's only stepping down as GM, he'll remain as President of the club.
